When I was at school, I would get a new pack of 36 Colleen pencils every year. I loved those pencils. When you opened the new pack, they were arranged in groups of 6, with the colours beautifully arranged, like a rainbow. I hated giving out my pencils to other people, because they would put them back in the wrong place or cause the cardboard container to bunch up by wedging a pencil in an already full "compartment". To this day, my heart starts beating wildly with "I want-ness" when I see sharp new pencils. I don't like sharpening them, though, I like my pencils to all be the same length!

I haven't been participating in ArtMind's Flickr Favourites game these past couple of weeks, simply because I am on holiday and have lost track of the days. Usually on Wednesdays I remember that I need to post...anyway, if you would like to join in, do so on ArtMind's blog!

A day in the life of those magnificent creatures - cows. I grew up in a tiny little town where we could go to a nearby farm over weekends to buy fresh milk and oranges. While the adults bought things, we'd allow the calves to suck our fingers. I like cows.

I just opened ArtMind's blog to link this post and I saw that her Flickr Favorites post starts with "Holy cow"! We didn't plan it! Go over there if you'd like to join in this blog game.

Might as well continue the toy theme. I love collecting things, but I become very unhappy when I have an incomplete collection. That is why I don't collect vinyl toys. I admire them from a distance. These all have teeth. The Happy Tree Friends Squirrel in the M&M's makes me laugh. Perfect expression for candy overload.

It's getting colder every day here in South Africa and I'm starting to miss sunshine yellows. I used the Multicolr Search Lab recommended by Artmind to find photos within my chosen colour range. Visit ArtMind's blog to take part in Flickr Favourites (or favorites if you must).

Dandelions on Tuesday. It's nearing exam time and all the final assignments are due NOW. With all the work, we don't have time to post any new finds, but I'll never miss a Flickr Favourites!
