Saturday Craft Sites - Papercraft World and Papercraft Paradise

The first thing I had to learn when I started scrapbooking was to never buy cardstock without having the photos you intend to use with you. Otherwise you're going to end up with a lot of gorgeous cardstock that you may be unable to use. This was a tough lesson, because I go gaga for gorgeous paper.

When I first discovered the world of papercraft on the internet, I nearly passed out with amazement and glee. This stuff is AMAZING. There are tons of papercraft resources online. Today I'm sharing two blogs, Papercraft World and Papercraft Paradise, blogs with links to some of the best papercrafts out there. Papercraft World also has links to some Metacafe videos, which is how I first got into papercraft. A lot of these crafts are great for children. And you can always use your bought-on-a-whim cardstock to create beautiful and incredibly entertaining paper toys.

Saturday Craft Site - Not Martha

Anyone who has a recipe for making bacon cups is a genius in my books. Not Martha doesn't have a whole lot of craft tutorials, but what she's got is worth a look.

Yes. That is candy sushi. And Twinkie rolls at the back. See what I mean?

Ever since I was a child and saw a dollhouse constructed entirely out of matches at an art exhibit, I've been in love with dollhouses. These ones are by MamaMadeThem:

She makes other wooden toys, as well. Her shop is well worth a visit.

Flickr Favourites

1. Cow lomo no.5, 2. Gang of cows, 3. Schiermonnikoog cows, 4. Cool as a cow

A day in the life of those magnificent creatures - cows. I grew up in a tiny little town where we could go to a nearby farm over weekends to buy fresh milk and oranges. While the adults bought things, we'd allow the calves to suck our fingers. I like cows.

I just opened ArtMind's blog to link this post and I saw that her Flickr Favorites post starts with "Holy cow"! We didn't plan it! Go over there if you'd like to join in this blog game.

More craft tutorial goodness at Cut Out + Keep. Over 10 000 projects, in fact.

I think I've mentioned those cupcakes on my StumbleUpon blog, I might have Twittered about it and I know Daneel sent me the link once. Finally I have a way to incorporate it into this blog! Rainbow cupcakes are made of awesome.

JohnThomas on Etsy

I have a thing for cutting boards. The make you feel like a real chef, when you whip out your board, chop chop your vegetables into perfect little cubes with a sharp knife, then carry the board to the stove to sweep your bright little veggies into the pot with a flourish. But cutting boards needn't be boring. Here is one by JohnThomas:

So pretty!

Flickr Favourites

1. Vinyl Toy, 2. Zog Vinyl Toy, 3. IMG 2100, 4. Loading up on sugar in time for Christmas

Might as well continue the toy theme. I love collecting things, but I become very unhappy when I have an incomplete collection. That is why I don't collect vinyl toys. I admire them from a distance. These all have teeth. The Happy Tree Friends Squirrel in the M&M's makes me laugh. Perfect expression for candy overload.
